Sizing and Care Instructions

How do your shirts/crewnecks/jackets fit?

Unless otherwise noted, our shirts, crew necks, and jackets are unisex cut and true to size.  Most designs are available in XS - XXL.

How to Care for your Clothes:

1. Stick with cold water.

Hot water is very harsh and typically unnecessary. By using cold water, you’ll be treating your clothes to a gentler bath and preventing unnecessary strain. Plus, you’ll use less electricity, reducing your impact on the environment and lowering your utility bill!

2. Avoid harsh cleaning products.

No reason for bleach and avoid harsh detergents. Like hot water, they aren’t needed and they may slowly destroy the condition of your t-shirts. Instead, find a gentle detergent and use a basic (no bleach) stain remover as necessary.

3. Turn your tees and other clothes inside out.

It only takes a moment to turn your screen-printed clothes inside out before placing them in the washing machine (or under a hot iron), but this simple step will reduce fading and stress. If the quality of the screen-printed design is important to you, reduce its contact with the washing machine to ensure that the ink won’t be strained.

5. Dry on low heat.

Heat are your clothes worst enemy. In addition to avoiding hot water, keep your clothes away from high-heat dryer settings. Instead, tumble dry low to prevent damage as well as shrinkage.

How to Care for your Enamel Mug:

1. Avoid the Microwave.
Cook with enamelware all you want, but avoid the microwave. This may seem like a no-brainer, but not everyone knows that beneath the ceramic coating is metal.

2. Hand Wash.
Because it may come into contact with other dishes or hard surfaces, it is best to wash by hand with mild dish soap.

3. Remove Stains.
Wine, coffee, or tea may discolor your mug even after washing. A lemon juice / baking soda mixture left to soak in your mug for 10-15 minutes will do the trick!

4. Dry after Washing.
After washing, dry your mug off with a dishcloth, as any exposed metal may corrode.

5. Pack Securely.
Enamelware is prone to chipping, so pack only near soft items in your bag. When chips happen, apply cooking oil to exposed area. Discontinue use if chips are found on the lip or inside the cup.

How to Care for your Print:

1. Protect the Edges.
Even if your print brushes against another object, the edges are prone to creases, so handle with care!

2. Avoid Extra Hardware.
Never apply rubber bands, paper clips, or tape to your prints as these all have the potential to damage the paper.

3. Wash Your Hands.
Only handle with clean, dry hands in a clean work area. Remove all food and drinks from your surroundings.

4. Put It Under Glass.
Frame your poster as soon as possible to prevent accidents from happening. If your print came shipped rolled, you can frame it to flatten it out or place it on a safe, flat surface and place something with weight on the corners to help flatten it out.

5. Hang It Properly.
Store or hang your poster in a cool, dry environment (avoid attics, basements, and proximity to radiators and vents). Avoid exposure to direct or intense sunlight.

How to Care for your Candle:

1. Trim The Wick.
Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4" using scissors for a clean, safe burn and increased candle lifespan.

2. Let It Burn.
Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar every burn to prevent tunneling - especially important on the first burn!

3. Safety First.
Never leave a lit candle unattended, and don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time. To protect the surface below from heat, place your candle on a coaster or tile.

4. Know When to Stop.
Don't burn your candle if only 1/4"-1/2" of wax remains. Lighting a candle without enough wax can overheat the jar.

5. Reuse It.
Once the candle is finished, clean out the jar! Now you've got a new planter, pencil holder, or whatever you'd like.

Sustainability

Do you use eco-friendly shipping materials?

Yes, we ship out orders with 100% recyclable polymailers or recyclable envelopes for smaller orders. For large orders we ship with recyclable cardboard boxes, or 100% recyclable polymailers. We ship our garments out in a 100% compostable garment bag. Sometimes our inventory on these products may run out before we can get them back in stock, and we may have to find alternative products to ship with in the meantime, but we try our best to prevent that from happening.

What are your clothes made out of?

We try our best to source sustainable and ethically made materials. Our apparel is made with 100% cotton, recycled polyester, recycled nylon, hemp, and/or bamboo unless otherwise noted.

Do you support any causes?

Yes! 10% of all profits go towards conservation efforts. We work with reputable conservation organizations to determine where help is needed the most. If you want more information on our donations, please email us directly at: info@sequoiaprojectus.com
